A Letter to the Patrons of Monterey
Dear Friend of the Arts,
Monterey has always been a sanctuary for the visionary. From the early days of the Bohemians to the modern masters of the coast, artists have come here to capture a light that exists nowhere else on Earth.
But behind the beauty of a finished oil painting lies a harsh reality. In the traditional “circuit,” an artist often loses 40% to 50% of their sale price to gallery fees and event commissions. When you buy a painting to support an artist, nearly half of your contribution often goes toward overhead, marketing, and the “business of art,” rather than the art itself.
With La Pintura, we are changing the math.
When you acquire a work through our site or at a La Pintura sanctioned event such as the Plein Air Monterey competition, 100% of your investment goes directly to the artist.
